This exploration was created by me after reading and attending Daryl Guppy's seminars. Basically the
exploration relies on an indicator I also designed called the JM - Guppy MMA LT Study. It is also available on this site
however if you download the exploration from this page you will not need to download the indicator as well.
The exploration finds stocks who have been trending for 15 days or greater (3 weeks) and who's
Long term group of Guppy Multiple Moving Averages are spread out. In Daryls trend trading book
it discusses looking for trends greater than 3 weeks old, who's long term group of
guppy multiple moving averages are spreading or well spread.
Using The Exploration
The stocks that are found by this exploration are NOT recommendations and the stocks are not
to be taken as a good trading candidate.
What it will do is help to create watchlists or to shortlist stocks from a certain group. From these
watchlists or shortlists it is up to the user to go through and choose stocks that suit their trading
plan. Obviously this search will be most useful for those following Daryl Guppy's trend trading system
as put out in his series of books. (see our Book Reviews).
Download The Indicator
To download the Indicator for Metastock:
1) Click on the link below and choose save (DO NOT TRY TO RUN IT - IT WILL NOT WORK)
2) Remember where you saved it!
3) Unzip The Downloaded files - remember which folder they are opened in.
3) Use the organiser in Metastock to import it in to the Indicator List.
