STATOR AFM Position Sizing Calculator(s)

Advanced Finance Management Tools For Traders and Investors

  • Money Management
  • Position Sizing
  • Portfolio Tracking & Management
  • Statistical Reports & Analysis
The position sizing options are excellent in this program. The first option is to use the "Position Sizing" section.

Simply select the type of Money Management model being used. (Choose from No Model, Fixed Percentage Risk, Fixed Dollar Risk or others). Type in the appropriate details and hit "Calculate". The maximum trade size and risk details are automatically shown:

If we wish to use these details and we add this position we can simply click on the check box for "I want to submit this trade". We then enter in the details and press Submit:

The following confirmation screen is shown and we can check that the date and position details are all correct.

Once we press submit on this box the trade is added to the portfolio and any accounts connected ("linked") to the portfolio will be adjusted appropriately.

From this point we can also:
  • Attach Charts of the stock before and at entry

  • Electronic Contract Notes

  • Insert Financing Details

The Position Explorer

We can also use the power of this software and it's "Position Explorer" to help us work out varied position sizes depending on the point of entry. This tool calculates maximum position size, risk as well as the risk reward ratio based on the target.

After pressing Calculate the following list of results is presented showing the position sizes for entries between $1.75 and $2.12. This can be printed out to be used when entering trades. If we do enter using one of the shown positions we simply double click on the entry to add it to the portfolio.

Using the above table we can see that if we entered at $1.82 we could buy 6250 shares at a cost of $11,375.00. The risk would be $500.00 the reward would be $1000.00 based on the target.
